Ocean Bowl

The Ocean Bowl in Ocean City, MD. Originally opened in 1976, the Ocean Bowl is the country's longest continuously operated municipal skatepark. The park was originally two banked 70s-style bowls. In the 80s a vert ramp was built in one of the bowls. The entire park was torn down in the fall of 1997 and a new concrete park (with skatelite mini and vert ramps) was constructed by Team Pain in time for the summer of 1998. The bowl got a makeover including new hand-poured coping & tile in 2000 by Omer Windham. The bowl got a second makeover in 2011, including pool coping and new tile, this time by Artisan. In 2024 Grindline built an extension to the park (not pictured) as well general repairs to the existing park.

The park charges a fee and requires a helmet. Only skateboards & roller skates/blades are permitted.
