Lansdowne Skatepark (Sandy Hills skatepark) is located at the end of Bero Road in Lansdowne. Built in 1978, this is one of the oldest skateparks that still has the original riding surface. The park features a lunar landscape style layout with a variety of banks, bumps, and bends. There are 2 snakerun paths that empty into banks and provide multiple paths, one of which ends in a banked bowl (above). In 2003 the semi-ridable asphalt sections were replaced with concrete and a prefab park was added on the side. A few DIY additions have been added over the years including a small quarterpipe at the top.
The riding surface has seen 45 years of rain, snow, & ice so is a bit rough. Definitely advise some cruiser wheels (larger & softer).
